Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless with robust customization options!

Share

Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless has early unlimited parts to upgrade, change out, or personalize with the right keyboard to have a keyboard that perfectly meets your demands. There’s nothing wrong with using a keyboard precisely as it came out from the box, but occasionally tinkering is just simple fun.

The most recent addition is the Corsair K70 RGB Pro Mini Wireless. It’s technically virtually faultless, has nearly every function a gaming board can have, and includes premium extras like PBT keycaps, hot-swap keys, multi-point connectors, & case illumination. It’s undoubtedly a step above the competition, providing you’re comfortable with what’s now considered “basic” switch technology.

Features

If you can think of a mechanical keyboard function, the K70 RGB Pro Mini Wireless has it. What about RGB lighting? Check. PBT plastic keycaps of superior quality? Yup. Wireless? Three separate gadgets, two different flavors. It features the ever-popular 60 percent sleek design, removing the function row and anything east of entering. It has an unusual angular design with extra lighting wrapping around the casing.

The Corsair Pro Mini Wireless shines in the amount of customization available. You may reprogram keys, modify shortcuts, tweak RGB lighting, and build profiles for certain games and apps using the Corsair Utility Engine (iCUE) software. Corsair still boasts the broadest and most subtle lighting choices of any gaming manufacturer, which merits special mention. One can add layer upon layer of effects, but while the training is severe, you can create stunning designs that few other devices can.

Because this is a game board does not include some of the more ludicrous extras, such as a complete metal casing or gasket mounting. However, its physical customization ability is on point due to a standard key layout compatible with most keycap sets. You may easily replace the switches with any Cherry MX-compatible type. However, with superb natural Cherry components on board, you may not want to, mainly if you purchased this item for gaming.

Design:

The Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless is, as the name implies, a compact gadget. With dimensions of less than 12 inches across but less than 5 inches broad, it’s difficult to picture this gadget not fitting on a desk. Because it is wireless through a USB dongle & Bluetooth, you may place it almost anywhere; the keyboard does not need to be very near your computer. Because of its USB wireless connectivity, the gadget is also suitable for PlayStation & Xbox consoles.

As a result, Corsair’s K70 Pro Mini Wireless is an intriguing accessory. With its strong gamer typeface and RGB lighting, it appears to be similar to the types of mechanical game keyboards which Corsair has already been creating for years. But below, it’s the company’s first keyboard with hot-swappable switches. It means it combines Corsair’s gaming-focused features, like as minimal input latency, with the customizability of hobbyist boards.

If you’ve ever used a 60 percent small keyboard, the K70 Pro Mini will be no surprise. If you haven’t already, you should be informed of the keys you’ll be handing over. A 60% micro keyboard is among the tiniest keyboards before entering “keypad” territory. There is no number pad, no arrow keys, no function keys, no navigation keys, and there isn’t even a separate “Delete” key. You’ll have to utilize two-key shortcuts if you want any of these capabilities.

Premium:

When you first start typing on the K70 Mini, you notice how premium it feels. The combination of the silky-smooth switches with the rough, gripping feel of the keys results in a fantastic experience. Usually require a day or two to get acclimated to a new keyboard. Thanks to all that expensive plastic, it just took an hour or so, but a keyboard rest had been included, as with other Corsair models. It’s because of the K70 Mini’s portable compact factor.

It’s also portable. Choosing a plastic body over a metal deck was wise since, even with all of the bells and whistles, this piano weighs just over a pound or a half. That makes it very simple to toss in a bag for your next LAN party or a quick game of Genshin Impact using your phone or tablet on the fly. True, rival 60 percent boards are just as excellent in that regard. But the Mini has an advantage because of the multi-point Bluetooth.

Keys:

The fact that most Corsair keyboards employ simple Cherry MX switches rather than inferior imitations distinguishes them from the competition.  The Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless is available with either Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Speed buttons, both of which are suitable. MX Speed switches were used in our review model, with shorter actuation lengths and key travel. However, the Red and Speed switches are linear, pleasant, and silent.

It’s not simply the high-quality keycaps and switches that offer Corsair a competitive advantage; it’s also the technology within. Corsair’s Axon hyper-processing technology is used. This operating system runs on a microcontroller unit within the keyboard. Corsair says this technology allows the keyboard to achieve ultra-low latencies and a maximum pulsing rate of 8,000Hz when connected via USB. Is this something you’d notice throughout regular gameplay? Probably not, but it’s an excellent addition to Corsair’s gaming keyboard.

The valid keys to the Corsair kingdom may be found in the company’s customization software, Tue. Corsair’s dynamic feature lets users modify key assignments and other settings across 50 identities and a Performance option that locks specific shortcuts when gaming, preventing gamers from accidentally tabbing out or closing a browser. The RGB lighting is also adjustable, with many preset configurations available to the user. The program is also Mac-compatible, which is a nice touch.

Is the Corsair K70 wireless?

The CORSAIR K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS RGB 60 percent Mechanical Gaming Keyboard packs a punch in terms of performance and customization, including ultra-fast, sub-1ms SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS & swappable CHERRY MX key switches in a small package.

Are wireless keyboards good for gaming?

A wireless keyboard is a terrific choice for anyone that doesn’t require a rapid reaction time for gaming but will perform exceptionally well for most keyboard users. Wireless keyboards provide tremendous mobility and enable you to type from locations that would not have been feasible otherwise.

Is it better to have a wired or wireless keyboard?

A wired keyboard is preferable if you don’t want to worry about input latency, interference, or battery life. Meanwhile, wireless keys are an excellent alternative to eliminate cords or use your computer from a great distance.

Conclusion

Even if you’re not a fan of 60 percent keyboards, there’s no doubting how much information is crammed into this little board. With this feature set, it’s no surprise that the pricing is as high as the size is small. However, this keyboard will appeal to esports aficionados and casual gamers seeking a lightweight peripheral that is easy on the eyes. Also, even hobbyists wish to replace critical switches and the like.

The Corsair K70 Pro Compact Wireless, like other elevated mini mechanical keyboards, has me divided. The gadget excels at what it does, with higher intensity switches and many customization choices. It’s also a difficult sell for the majority of gamers and typists. The 60% design might seem constrained by nature, or the keyboard’s hefty price doesn’t make it more approachable.
