The WalkingPad C2 Mini foldable walking treadmill from Kingsmith is the cheapest walking treadmill available from the Chinese firm Xiaomi. Which is known for its phones, music, and home electronics.

It’s easy to see why Xiaomi made its first entry into the field. Given the development of flexible working and, as a result, the increasing popularity of under-desk treadmills. But has the WalkingPad C2 been a success?

While it is not one of the top under-desk treadmills, the WalkingPad C2 is an excellent starting point for those looking to be active at home. Importantly, it can reach speeds enough for fast walking. And even very light jogging. But not for running. It checks all the boxes for simple access by simply folding and having wheels to let you transport it about the house. Also, unlike other more portable models, such as the Bluefin Fitness Task 2.0, you do not have to lose belt length.

The WalkingPad C2 costs $599.00 in the United States and £494.02 in the United Kingdom. Customers in the United Kingdom and the United States have been able to purchase the WalkingPad C2 from late 2021. The WalkingPad C2 is Xiaomi/most Kingsmith’s affordable product. and it’s also available from online sellers like Amazon.

Features:

The WalkingPad C2 Mini Foldable Walking Treadmill is feature-light. But there’s only so much a walking treadmill can perform. The WalkingPad C2 has two modes of operation: human and auto. In human mode, you use the palm-sized controller to stop and start the belt as well as adjust the speed. Which raises and lowers in 0.5km/h steps.

In tests, everything went wrong in auto mode. This mode is supposed to adjust to the user’s stride by applying three walking zones on the belt. The first is at the top of the tread belt, speeding the treadmill. The second is in the centre, maintaining pace; and the third is at the bottom, slowing it down.

If you wish to focus on something else while walking. It might take from the experience. It regularly came to a standstill without explanation. The program allows you to change the level: low sensitivity worked a little better, but it still kept halting mysteriously. When it did operate, it valued speed over regularity or slow down, resulting in some uncomfortable walking.

Speaking of apps, the WalkingPad C2, unfortunately, falls short on this front as well.   Syncing was quick and simple because of Bluetooth connectivity and after that, you’re given access to a poor app at best. You can follow set-up instructions and tutorials using the app. After which you may choose between manual, automatic, and standby mode. Track your activity, and adjust your belt. You may also enter your weight and follow changes using the app. But there are no smart insights available. The WalkingPad C2 does have an automatic standby mode, overload protection, and a kid lock that can be managed via the app. There’s also no height option, which is very common for walking-only treadmills.

Performance of the WalkingPad C2

The WalkingPad C2 performs well as a walking treadmill. The belt is comfortable, with a reasonable amount of grip. And it’s rather quiet, measuring at only 48dB. There is a very little notch in the middle of the belt where the treadmill bends. Which may be felt very slightly through sneakers and casual walking shoes. But it is not enough to cause serious harm.

Its highest speed is 6 km/h. This is low yet understandable given its use as a walking treadmill. This is able to stretch to a very light jog because of the length. But if speed is important to you, go elsewhere.

Because it is low to the ground, the WalkingPad C2’s 1HP motor is rather quiet.  But, according to customer reviews on Amazon, some customers have reported that noise levels rise when used on carpet, as the belt might cling to fibres. Which is not ideal for your flooring. Unfortunately, This is unable to find a solution to disable the beep while changing gears. Thus if you intend to change it discretely during conversations, you may have difficulty.

Design:

Design: WalkingPad C2

The WalkingPad C2 is a sleek and simple device that is largely formed of plastic and comes in white, red, and black. An LED display in the front middle of the treadmill shows your calories and step count, as well as elapsed time, and a circular M and A to indicate which mode you are using.  When you open the package, you will discover that the treadmill is completely installed and ready to use once plugged in.

The WalkingPad C2 weighs a fairly light 65 pounds and includes two one-way wheels at the top of the treadmill. That allows you to move it about the home. However, because there is no handle, it might be difficult to raise and grip when travelling it.

Its measurements when unfurled are 144.5 / 51.8 / 12.5cm. They fold to 82.5 / 51.8 / 13.6cm, giving you the best of both worlds in terms of flexibility and storage, as well as length for lengthy strides. The 180-degree deployment mechanism may snag if you have a small desk area or problems adjusting the height of your desk.

Because the WalkingPad is designed primarily for…well, walking, it misses some of the features seen in higher ticket prices. For example, unlike some other versions, the WalkingPad has a railing. Which means it may not be suited for older persons or small children. It has a weight restriction of 220 pounds, which is slightly lower than most of its competitors.

The tray is constructed of plastic, and the belt is comprised of four layers. An anti-slip and anti-static walking belt, a wear-resistant layer, an EVA cushioning layer, and a density fibre high-stepping layer.

How does a folding treadmill work?

The treadmill folds vertically using a hydraulic shock with EasyLift Assist technology, making it reasonably easy to store. This foldable treadmill tracks heart rate, elevation, and intensity to help users keep track of their workouts. It retains up to four profiles, allowing each user to enjoy a customized exercise.

Are folding treadmills stable?

Most of them aren’t meant to take as much abuse. However, modern versions are sufficiently strong and durable. The most affordable ones can accommodate runners weighing up to 220 pounds.

Are treadmills good for weight loss?

Finally, the bottom line. A treadmill is a fantastic kind of aerobic exercise for burning calories and reducing weight.

Conclusion

The WalkingPad C2 is the greatest home treadmill. When the weather is terrible, the air quality is poor, or you don’t want to go to the gym. WalkingPad C2 can free you of the guilt of staying at home. No matter where you live or how big your house is. You can fold up the small treadmill and hide it under the sofa or bed. You may walk, jog, or run while watching TV. The WalkingPad makes exercising more accessible and enjoyable.
