Marvel hasn’t finished Phase 4 of the MCU yet. However, we do know some critical elements regarding Marvel Phase 6.

During Marvel’s massive Comic-Con panel, Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, confirmed that Marvel Phases 4 through 6 will be billed as The Multiverse Saga, culminating in another Avengers double-bill.

It was likely to directly answer Phase 4 criticisms about the MCU’s overall direction. Feige subsequently noted that Avengers films would represent the culmination of whole sagas rather than Phases.

Phase 4 began in 2021 with WandaVision, Black Widow, Loki, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Ms. Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and others, and concluded in November 2022 with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Phase 5 of the MCU begins in 2023 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania & concludes in the summer of 2024. Where will MCU Phase 6 go from there? The framework was unveiled at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, and here’s a breakdown of the films disclosed thus far for the last part of The Multiverse Saga:

Fantastic Four

Marvel Phase 6

Fantastic Four marks the official MCU debut of Marvel’s “First Family.” It will be available on November 3, 2024. We now have definitive confirmation that a variety of Reed Richards exists in the main MCU, with the recent appearance of an 838-Universe Reed Richards within Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Whether or if John Krasinski plays that version is another matter entirely. Rumors and conjectures abound, and additional information about the film may be released during the D23 Expo in September.

The Kang Dynasty

Kevin Feige has revealed that The Multiverse Saga would conclude with releasing two Avengers films: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Its release date is May 2, 2025. Kang is mentioned in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and we were warned about his appearance in Loki. He appears powerful enough to rally the troops of Earth’s Mightiest Avengers to stop him. Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi, is directing the next episode in the Avengers series.

Avengers: Secret Wars

Marvel Phase 6

Nothing is known about Avengers: Secret Wars save that it will be published eight months after The Kang Dynasty, leading to suspicion that something in The Kang Dynasty will finish in a cliffhanger that will lead into Secret Wars.

Given that the 2015 Hickman storyline dealt with incursions, Doctor Doom receiving godlike powers from The Beyonder, and the creation of a new universe called Battleworld, it’s not a stretch to believe Secret Wars deals with Doom & incursions. Especially given the rollout of Fantastic Four one year prior and the concepts of incursions being presented in Multiverse of Madness after being made possible by Loki & Sylvie in Loki.

Which TV shows are in Marvel Phase 6?

We don’t know which TV series will be available on Disney+ in Marvel Phase Six. So your opinion is as valid as ours as what may be occupying those release windows in the schedule.

There are also other TV programs in the works, which include a Wakanda series that is reported to examine Okoye’s origin tale, Armor Wars, which would recast Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, and a Nova series. Any of these might appear in Phase Six, as could the second seasons of any series that have already launched.

Are there other Marvel projects in the works?

Marvel Phase 6

Several additional Marvel films and series are on the way, but no particular release dates have been announced. That might imply that some of these will arrive earlier than the movies listed above and fall into Phase Five.

So far, we know of the following films & television shows:

  • Deadpool 3
  • Marvel Zombies – Disney+
  • Armor Wars – Disney+
  • Spider-Man: Freshman Year – Disney+
  • Untitled Wakanda Disney+ series
  • Untitled Spider-Man trilogy
  • Untitled Shang-Chi sequel

We also believe that Doctor Strange and Thor will return in some form and that with the introduction of Mutants in Ms. Marvel, Marvel is laying the groundwork for the X-Men. Disney will most likely announce more release dates in the following months.

How many phases of Marvel will there be?

A saga comprises three stages, and The Infinity Saga concluded with Avengers: Endgame. Producer Kevin Feige said at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con that the new one would be dubbed “The Multiverse Saga,” and it’s not far off. It is, in fact, already beginning.

Conclusion

For now, these are the only 3 MCU Phase 6 releases that have been teased. However, more information, including prospective release dates for Shang-Chi 2, Amor Wars, and others, is expected to be published shortly. It might also be Deadpool 3, although fans expect that to appear in Phase Five.

That said, anyone searching for the MCU’s new direction needs to look no farther. The mic has been dropped, and the ambitious three-year gameplan has hushed critics.
