The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA is set up on the qualities of the ZenBook series. Strong built quality matched with a great design and development. It also with a strong 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Iris Xe designs. This ultrabook makes for a truly portable and capable workhorse through local arrangements. Just maximize at 8GB RAM which makes it falls short of concerning excellence.
Most users, while searching for a premium thin-and-light laptop, couldn’t care less about the performance of the CPU or GPU. All they need is a laptop that looks modern and can deal with everyday tasks with no issue. Asus is a brand that has been well-known for thin and light laptops in the last few years.
Firstly, the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA looks the same as the past model ZenBook 14. As far as design, it looks as great as any premium thin-and-light laptop of 2020. It simply weighs 1.17KG, making it simple to carry around.
The laptop comes with a semi-metal unibody design. Surprisingly, the display has thin bezels, which reduces the common structural feature of the laptop by an immense margin. Although it is a 14-inch laptop, it seems like a 13-inch laptop.
Similarly, if we talk about its design, the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA can also be compared to the MacBook Air. The ZenBook 14 UX425EA comes as a winner among the two, as it has a more thin design. Yet unlike Apple, Asus doesn’t think twice about I/O.
The laptop has a standard HDMI port. USB-A port, two USB Type-C ports, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm earphone jack. A larger part of the group can use this laptop without requiring any extra dongles.
Finally, the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA feels slim yet durable. It is also light-in-weight, which makes it simple to carry around. Moreover, it has sufficient drive to deal with even very good quality projects.
The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA has a 14-inch anti-glare display with FHD 1920 x 1080p goal. The display offers a peak brightness of 300nits, 100% sRGB color range, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
The display is enough bright for the inside. I have enjoyed watching films and YouTube videos on this display. However, the brightness probably won’t be sufficient for outside use. In any event, with regards to shading accuracy, the screen works hard and looks pretty energetic.
The highest point of the display houses the web camera with a lot of sensors, which works with Windows Hellow facial recognization. The facial recognization system on the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA functions admirably even in low-light and dull circumstances with no problem.
However, the display is extraordinary on the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA. The laptop should have had a touch screen, in my opinion. Which would have taken this laptop to another category. Moreover, the display on the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA turns out great for both conditions.
I have loved consoles (keyboard) on pretty much every Asus laptop. The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA is the same. The keyboard is lit up and the keys feel material while typing. However, it isn’t normally so great as the keyboard on the Dell Latitude 9510, it feels incredible, and typers will live it up while working with this laptop.
I have written a lot of articles on this laptop and played games around. In both using scenes, the keyboard feels magnificent. It offers three brightness levels. The strong letters also make it simple to recognize.
If you love huge trackpads, you will also love the trackpad on the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA. The laptop has a major trackpad. Again, like the MacBook Air. It has an extra function. The trackpad serves as a number pad. Inside the trackpad, you can even adjust the brightness of the Numpad.
If you are someone who works with accounting pages. This will help, as the laptop doesn’t have a committed actual Numpad. From the keyboard to the trackpad. Asus has worked a ton on this basic laptop feature to offer the most ideal experience.
The Asus ZenBook 14 is powered by the 11th Gen Tiger Lake-U Intel Core i7 processor with 4 cores, eight threads, and Intel Iris XE graphics. This is a 28W (TDP) given a 10 nm SuperFin producing process. Making it an effective processor in comparison with the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processor.
This is also one of the first laptops from Asus to deliver with the new Iris Xe GPU. Which takes the performance of the thin-and-light laptop to a higher level. Hence, you can play AAA titles on this laptop. Though, at lower graphics settings.
The Asus ZenBook 14 quad-core CPU comes with a base clock speed of 1.2GHz and can reach up to 4.7GHz. The laptop scores 1458 points on single-core CPU performance and 3977 points on multi-core CPU performance in Geekbench 5.
Similarly, the laptop receives 490.2 points for single-core performance and 2459 points for multi-core performance on CPU Z.
In comparison with the Dell Latitude 9510, powered by the 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10810U processor. The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA with the Intel Core i7-1165G7 surpasses Dell’s offering in every benchmark on both single-core and multi-core CPU performance.
One of the critical features of the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA is further developed design performance. The built-in Intel Iris Xe designs beat the last-gen Intel Iris graphics found on the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processors.
On the Superposition benchmark. The laptop offers a normal FPS of 18.35 at 1080p goal and medium graphic settings. Moreover, at the 720p goal, the laptop offered a normal FPS of 42.56, recommending a possible gaming experience.
With regards to genuine performance, we ran GTA: V on the Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA. The laptop had the option to offer a normal FPS of 41 at a 1080p goal. Essentially, when the goal was brought down to 720, the laptop offered a normal FPS of 48, offering a smooth gaming experience.
The Asus Zenbook 14 UX425 is a fairly average laptop. It does not excel in any area, but it’s also not lacking in any of them. This is really what most people look for in a mainstream laptop and it’s the reason why this model from Asus has gotten some pretty good reviews from many different sources.
