The pandemic opened the doors to many streaming services and premium content that you can watch at your home. If you want to get the Disney Plus Premier Access, here is everything you need to know about the service.
In September 2020, Disney Plus Premier Access was released on the Mouse House’s own streaming platform. With this people who wanted to watch the latest Walt Disney Studios film from the comfort of their own homes, could do so at a premium. This was a great idea for when the pandemic hit. It was initially introduced with the release of the live-action Mulan. Since then the same treatment has been applied to a number of titles. This included Emma Stone’s portrayal of Cruella, Disney’s monochromatic villain, and Marvel’s Black Widow. The Rock’s Jungle Cruise was the most recent Premier Access title to arrive on the service. It was then released on the normal Disney Plus platform for Disney Plus Day.
Although the company has not confirmed anything, it appears that the ability to watch the latest Walt Disney Studios release from your own home with Disney Plus Premier Access is no longer an option. Disney Plus Premier Access does a good job of simulating the movie theatre experience. New releases were made available on Disney Plus on the same day as they were released in theatres, allowing you to watch them from your home for an additional one-time cost. Premier films were available in UHD or HDR resolution with Dolby Audio sound. The $30 price may appear high, but depending on where you live, it was probably less expensive than two movie tickets and a box of popcorn.
However, once subscribers had paid their money, they could see the movie as many times as they wanted. That’s on top of getting to see the latest Disney extravaganza months before it was released to normal Disney Plus subscribers.
Disney Plus Premier Access titles cost USD $29.99 / EUR €21.99 depending on where you live. The cost of Disney Plus was something to consider. A monthly subscription costs USD $7.99 / EUR €8.99. In the United States, the Disney Plus Premier Access price is $30. However, for Disney Plus Premier Access you will need a Disney Plus subscription, which costs $8 per month or $80 per year. Disney Plus is also offered as part of a $14-per-month package with Hulu Basic and ESPN+. That’s around $6 per month less than you’d pay if you signed up for all of those things separately.
You can easily view a Disney Plus Premier Access title, but you will have to first be a Disney Plus member. So, if you didn’t already have a subscription, you can go to the website and sign up. You could purchase new Disney Plus Premier Access releases from there. You can find these located on the homepage. Moreover, you can simply type the title of the film into the search box, click on the desired title, and be prompted to buy it. After that, you are ready to watch Disney’s latest and best on-demand. And as long as you stay a subscriber, you could watch the movie as many times as you wanted. After you’ve subscribed, you can purchase a Premier Access movie by following these simple steps:
Jungle Cruise was the fifth and final title that was released on Disney Plus Premier Access on July 30, 2021. This was not long after Black Widow on July 9. Cruella de Vil debuted on Disney Plus’ PVOD on May 28 and you can watch it with a standard Disney Plus subscription. Raya and the Last Dragon, an animated fantasy tale, was the platform’s second Disney Plus Premier Access offering. It was published on March 5 with an advanced viewing window that ended on May 4. On June 4, the film was made available to all Disney Plus users.
The Premier Access period is usually three months long. After that time, all Disney Plus subscribers will have access to Premier Access films. This three-month window is identical to the window that studios generally utilize for theatrical film debuts before allowing them to be released on home video.
Disney has distributed five films through Disney Plus’ Premier Access. All five of these titles are now available for free to all Disney Plus users. No new Premier Access titles have been revealed by Disney. Instead, the studio has committed to exclusively releasing the year’s movies in theatres. Future Disney films will play in theatres for at least 45 days before being released on streaming services like Disney Plus. The only exception is “Encanto,” which was available on Disney Plus after a 30-day delay. The downside of everything is that the exclusivity is only for a limited time. Around one month after their premiere, the films become available for purchase on other streaming platforms without a Disney Plus subscription.
Premier Access movies are available on any device that supports Disney Plus. This list includes everything from cellphones to televisions, as well as various gaming consoles. Here are all the devices:
Disney Plus Premier Access is a purchase option for Disney Plus users. It allows them to pay an additional $30 one-time fee in exchange for early streaming access to a film that is still showing in theatres. Members of Disney Plus can stream or download a Premier Access movie for as long as they have a subscription. Premier Access can be thought of as a method to purchase a virtual ticket to a brand-new Disney film to view at home rather than in a theatre. Moreover, you can watch the movie as many times as you want. The downside is, though, that Premier Access movies ultimately become available to all Disney Plus subscribers without an extra fee. As a result, Premier Access is ideal for those who want to see new movies as soon as they are released.
If you don’t mind waiting a few months, you can save a lot of money by waiting for the general release. Which is your current favorite movie? Tell us in the comments section below.
