If you’re looking for an easy way to find out where you are right now, download the free apps available for iOS (iPhone), Android, and Windows Phone. These apps will show you your current location on a map. They’ll even tell you how far away you are.
Method 1: Tap on your current location
You can quickly locate yourself and see where you are on the maps.
It will bring you in-depth details about your location and also provides you with sharing options.
Method 2: Tap the menu at the top right corner of the screen.
To see more details about your location, tap the “More” option. This will take you to a list of options, including “My Places,” “Nearby,” “Maps,” and “Directions.”
Select “Share Current Location”
If you select “My Places, you’ll see a map of where you currently are. Tap the pin icon at the top right corner of the screen to view a list of places nearby.
Enter your destination address.
Once you enter an address, tap the blue arrow button to start navigating. You can choose between driving, walking, biking, or transit directions.
Send it to your contacts.
If you’re looking for a quick way to send a map to a friend, you can use the “Share my location” feature. Just type in the name of the person you want to send the map to and then tap the Share button.
