It’s unique for a challenger brand to introduce a tablet focused on the upper end. Alldocube’s iWork GT is a ramped form of the iWork 20 Pro just evaluated and is built on one of Intel’s greatest lately CPU families, Tiger Lake.
A Wi-Fi 6 wireless chipset, LPDDR4x, fast SSD, a 2.4-megapixel completely coated display and an optional keyboard cover make it an attractive choice for those seeking a business tablet, but the largest difficulty remains after-sales support, as it always does. Microsoft provides a 60-day return policy for Surface products, as well as free professional assistance, digital seminars, and even remote learning options. The Surface Pro 7+, which has the same CPU and costs roughly $800 with a keyboard cover, is perhaps a better option if you can live with half the storage capacity and a somewhat larger form factor.
The iWork GT aims to fill a gap between Microsoft’s Surface Go 3 and its larger brother, the Surface Pro 7+. Its design is similar to that of its famous rival, with a black facia with glass providing the full front surface area, a relatively small bezel, and that unique gunmetal aluminum finish.
The biggest difference is that it doesn’t come with a kickstand, so you’ll use the keyboard cover to hold it upright or at an angle. The Surface Go 3 measures 245 x 175 x 8.3mm and weighs 544g, making it physically bigger and heavier than its nearest competition. The iWork GT measures 259 x 163 x 10.6mm and weighs 610g. The dimensions and weight of an Apple iPad 10.2 are 251 x 174 x 7.5mm and 487g, respectively.
The variety of ports and the additional cooling required for the items within might explain some of the weight rises. There’s a mini HDMI port, two USB Type-C ports, a headphone jack, a full-size USB Type-A I/O, and a microSD card slot.
The power button and volume rocker are on the top edge, with a speaker grill on the sides, as well as a POGO connection and a 5-megapixel camera. If you look closely at the top front edge, you can just make out a camera sensor (1-megapixel) and two small slots for the mics.
There are two variants of the Alldocube iWork GT: one with a Core i3 CPU for $507 and one with a Core i5 processor for $689. (using the existing voucher on Amazon and the code H34FM76Y). It should be noted that the keyboard cover wasn’t included and costs an extra $69.90. Later this year, a Core i7 model is also planned. The most powerful Surface Go 3 costs just under $655. But it has half the storage space and a CPU that is 66% lower than the one we’re examining today.
Given its components, the iWork GT packs a strong punch that does not disappoint. It outperformed both the Honor MagicBook Pro, with its Core i5-10210U CPU, and the Bleu Kubb, a desktop PC with the same chip, in computer-friendly benchmarks. Because of the active cooling system, the noise level increased while the system was under stress.
The floating flexible keyboard magnetically connects to the device. Right-clicking is achieved by simply tapping the surface with two fingers.
It has the lowest power consumption per minute of any high-performance laptop or tablet that is recently examined, lasting over 4.5 hours. That doesn’t mean much when compared to the Surface family, whose battery capacity is considerably better.
The 10.95-inch, 2000 x 1200 pixel IPS display, on the other hand, is excellent in terms of quality but lacks a waterproof coating. As a result, it quickly becomes coated in fingerprints.
One thing to note about the Type-C connector: users saw that the iWork GT arrived with an Intel Thunderbolt 4 control panel and that Thunderbolt 4 was listed in the Windows Device Manager. When they connected a Thunderbolt 4 docking station to it, however, it didn’t function. Thunderbolt 4 technology is not available on this device, according to Alldocube. That’s a problem.
The laptop users evaluated has an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core CPU with Intel Xe graphics. Although a less expensive version had a Core i3-1115G4 dual-core CPU with Intel UHD graphics. Both include 8GB of LPDDR4x memory, which is quicker than the DDR3 memory that comes with the Surface Go 3.
SCY’s M.2 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD is a little-known company. The S2000 has read/write speeds of 2GBps and 1.6GBps. There is no TPM or fingerprint reader on the device. The common Intel AX201 does provide Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.The 30WHr battery pack with a 45W quick charger.
In this day and age, how can there be less rapid charging? The Alldocube iWork GT includes a 7.6V/3900mAh battery. The overall battery life is around 4 hours and can play local films for 6 hours, which is still suitable for outdoor mobile use. Office and it supports 45W PD fast charging, so even if the battery is running low. You can charge it with a mobile power source that supports the fast charging standard, which is really handy.
The Alldocube iWork GT has more detailed genuine photos. It has twin cameras on the front and back. It can easily handle video chats and conference calls with social applications in addition to shooting photographs and videos.
The setup is sincere, the design is sturdy and long-lasting, and it is extremely satisfying. The only item that does not please is that the system does not have Microsoft Office.
When compared to the Microsoft Surface Pro 8, Alldocube iWork GT is more affordable and more economical. Extremely flexible, lightweight, and removable with one hand.
On paper, the Alldocube iWork GT is a great buy it’s what the Surface Go 3 should have been. A powerful, yet relatively tiny tablet with a variety of ports and a reasonable price tag. The typing experience may divide opinion, but this is as near to a terrific bargain tablet as it comes.
