55-inch TVs

The Samsung QN94A Neo QLED TV combines highly tuned quantum dot tech with the strict control of mini-LED backlighting to produce one of the greatest TV screens you’ll ever see. Brilliant color and unrivaled brightness combine to produce outstanding performance, which Samsung pairs with a plethora of smart TV functions and genuinely intelligent features, such as a solar-powered remote control which erases the need to swap out batteries – delivering eco-friendly design and unrivaled convenience at the same time.

The entire package is a stunning 1-inch-thick design that includes a plethora of smart features, powerful Dolby Atmos sound, and some of the greatest performance ever seen. HDMI 2.1 connectivity is also there, as are gamer-friendly features and a 12.6-millisecond lag time for an unrivaled gaming experience. It’s the greatest 55-inch TV we’ve seen this year, and Samsung will have to go above and beyond to beat it in 2022.

The LG C1 OLED has a fantastic OLED display, a plethora of HDMI 2.1 connections, and the greatest gaming performance & features available. If you already have a PS5 or Xbox Series X and don’t want to spend the money on the LG G2 or wait for the LG C2, this is the one to get. Of course, it’s fantastic for everything else as well, with rich image quality, great contrast and clarity, and outstanding HDR. Oh, and it looks fantastic.

LG’s webOS boasts a lot of positive features, such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants, AI-powered sports notifications, and gaming features like the game optimizer menu and compatibility for Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Cloud.

It’s one of the greatest TVs, and the good news is that its replacement, the LG C2 OLED, is now available.

The LG G2 is the greatest OLED TV you can buy right now, outperforming last year’s G1 in practically every way. Brightness, for instance, is significantly higher than on the set, reaching 590.54 nits, compared to 412.05. That’s still less than the Sony A80J’s 713.65 results, and far less than what you’d get from a QLED like the Samsung QN90A at the top of this list, but it’s significantly higher than most OLEDs. Of course, you get the deep blacks that this screen technology is known for, and the G2’s color accuracy and color spectrum perform admirably.

The G2’s almost bezel-less design is in keeping with its status as one of LG’s ‘Gallery’ series TVs, and it’s also well packed with ports; you get 4 HDMI 2.1 sockets here. LG’s WebOS smart TV platform has most of the apps you’d look for, if not quite all of them, while it excels as a gaming TV thanks to its low lag times and specialized game mode. The LG C2 may end up being a better purchase for most people, but until then this is the best TV you can buy.

TCL 6-Series Roku TV

The practically bezel-less design of the G2 is in line with its reputation as one of LG’s ‘Gallery’ series TVs, & it’s also well-equip with connectors, with 4 HDMI 2.1 plugs. LG’s WebOS smart TV platform contains most, if not all, of the apps you’d expect, and it excels as a gaming TV owing to its minimal latency times and specific game mode. The LG C2, which presently evaluating, may wind up being a better choice for most people. However, for now, this is the greatest TV money can buy.

TCL, on the other hand, continues to provide more, such as THX Game Mode, which makes the 6-Series one of the greatest gaming TVs available, even for consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The TCL 6-Series R635 was the greatest TV deal and it’s still outstanding now, thanks to clever design elements like cable management in the stand and the always-reliable Roku TV platform.

Sony Bravia XR A80J OLED

55-inch TVs

The Sony Bravia XR A80J is recommended if you desire high-quality and next-generation features. This 4K OLED comes with cutting-edge features, including HDR, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and ATSC 3.0 tuner, Google TV streaming plus Sony’s own Bravia Core service, Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, and so on. Sure, not everyone will require everything in this section, but it’s good to have the choice.

Equally essential, it excels at the fundamentals: contrast is excellent, colors are rich and diverse, viewing angles are great, and it handles upscaling effectively. The sound is likewise superb, and Google TV is a significant improvement over the earlier Android TV. In comparison, the XR A80J takes a bit more adjusting to look its best; it’s good out of the box, but to fully realize its full potential, you’ll want to experiment with different settings. It’s not the cheapest set, and some sets outperform it in terms of image quality. However, as an all-around package, the A80J is an excellent pick.

TCL 5-Series Google TV (55S546)

The TCL 5-Series Google TV (55S546) may be the smartest smart TV, combining smart TV features, decent performance, and excellent value for money. Building on the already-excellent 5-Series, the switch to Google TV provides the affordable 4K smart TV with a more premium smart TV platform, one that offers personalized and customizable suggestions, a plethora of smart features, and deep Google Assistant integration that helps make it a viable center for the entire home of connected gadgets.

However, it also provides an improvement in other elements of television. The 5-Series Google TV is a more refined version of the 5-Series TV, giving an outstanding QLED 4K display, a snappy remote control, and a surprisingly wide selection of gaming features for a 60Hz TV, from color quality to latency times. It’s certainly one of the greatest TVs on the market for a smart TV that costs less than $1,000 in most size options.

The Samsung QN90A Neo QLED TV, which blends QLED color with a mini-LED backlight to build the new Neo QLED, Samsung’s latest premium display technology, is our favorite 55-inch TV. The stunning display is a combo with a plethora of smart functions and clever audio options, providing excellent value for the more premium pricing.

The LG G2 is not far behind. Because of improvements over last year’s G1, it’s the new favorite TV, and it’s also a superb gaming TV. The C1, which is just behind it, is also a good option, especially now that its price has dropped. However, keep an eye out for the LG C2, which will release very soon.

The 55-inch TCL 6-Series Roku TV (55R635) is the greatest affordable option if you want to spend less. It, too, combines QLED color with mini-LED illumination, but it does so at a shockingly low price while still offering fantastic smart features like Roku TV and THX Certified Game Mode.
