Facebook’s New Monetization Program: Creator Fast Track
Social media giant, Facebook, unveiled its new monetization program, the ‘Creator Fast Track,’ to provide creators with guaranteed pay and enhanced content reach. Facebook’s announcement on Wednesday came amidst reports of the company paying creators nearly $3 billion through its monetization programs in 2025, representing a 35% surge from the previous year and the highest ever annual total. The program aims to attract creators who have amassed significant followings on other platforms to start posting on Facebook, thereby negating the need to start from zero on a new platform. [source]
Benefits of Creator Fast Track Program
The program offers creators increased reach on eligible Reels to boost their follower growth, as well as three months of guaranteed pay for sharing eligible Reels on Facebook. Creators with a minimum of 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can earn $1,000 per month, while those with over one million followers on any of these platforms can earn $3,000 per month.

Access to Monetization Tools without Usual Criteria
A significant advantage of the program is that it offers eligible creators immediate access to Facebook’s content monetization tools without requiring them to meet the platform’s usual criteria, such as a minimum follower count. This allows them to continue earning from posts even after the Creator Fast Track program ends.
An Easy Road to Onboarding
Yair Livne, VP of Creator Product at Facebook, during a briefing with reporters said, “We wanted to be able to address creators’ concerns that it would be a hard road to onboard onto Facebook and build a community from scratch and build a following.”
The program aims to address these concerns by providing support to creators who may need more than three months to build their audience on Facebook. While the monetary bonus lasts only for three months, Facebook will continue to amplify their reach until it believes the creators have found their audience on the platform.
Not Just New Content
“You don’t need to create exclusive, brand-new content for this program to meet our initial posting conditions,” Livne added. “Obviously, we would love for you to bring your latest and greatest, but if you have a great back catalog of best hits, we would love to get that as well, and that qualifies for the terms of the program.”
Increasing Earnings for Creators
Facebook also reported that the number of creators earning more than $10,000 annually on the platform has grown by over 30% year-over-year. Interestingly, 60% of Facebook’s total payout to creators last year went to reels, while the rest was distributed across Stories, photos, and text posts.

New Metrics for Creators
As part of the new program, Facebook is set to introduce new metrics to aid creators in better understanding their earnings. The new “qualified views” metric will inform creators of the number of views on their content that could potentially earn them money. Livne explained that there could be several reasons why a view may not qualify—for instance, when a user watches only one second of a video before swiping away.
Additionally, a new “earnings rate” metric will show approximate earnings per 1,000 qualified views, while the “non-qualified views” metric will break down why certain views don’t qualify and what creators can do to improve earnings from future content.
