EA Sports has had great success with its American football game brand since its debut in 1988. EA has made more than $3 billion in revenue from the Madden NFL franchise over the past three decades. Since then, the game has surpassed the video game industry and the original name-giver. Today, “Madden” is more commonly linked with video games than a well-known head coach and color analyst. We’re just over a month away from the release of Madden NFL 23, and today, EA released a deep franchise dive outlining some of the mode’s changes.
As is customary, “Madden 23” reaches store shelves in mid-August, with this year’s edition arriving on August 19th. Players that preorder the “All-Madden” edition of the game will have early access to the game beginning Tuesday, August 16th.
All Madden 23 Ratings have officially been announced following a tumultuous week of reveals going position by position throughout the league. This includes Team Ratings, as we’ve learned which teams will be at the top of the league when Madden 23 arrives and which players will be dominant.
The foundation is the most significant modification in “Madden 23.” This year’s iteration includes “FieldSENSE,” which focuses on modifying animations and delivering a new, more realistic feel to the game.
“FieldSENSE combines animation branching technology and a host of new user control features for a fluid gaming flow with authentic results on every play,” according to the Madden website.
This appears to imply less recognized animations and more natural, free-flowing game features.
FieldSENSE will be available only on next-generation editions of the game.
After hearing gamers’ complaints about Franchise mode over the last few years, EA has prioritized it. This year, they’re making more changes, including a greater emphasis on free agency and “player motivations,” as well as a new free agency hub.
The All-Madden edition will cost $99.99 across all platforms. Unlike previous years, there are just two game editions: standard and All-Madden. Only digital copies of the All-Madden edition are available.
The standard edition only includes the game, whereas the All-Madden upgrade consists of the following benefits:
Starting August 16th, there will be a 3-day early access period with 4600 Madden Points.
Limited-time Pre-order an All-Madden Team Elite Player by July 22.
Dual Eligibility (Upgrade to a PS4/PS5 or Xbox Series S/X edition)
From August 16 to August 18, Madden NFL 23 Ultimate Team will offer exclusive early access challenges.
In Madden NFL 23 Ultimate Team, you can select two Elite Players (one offensive and one defensive).
Now that Madden 23 is released, information on pre-order bonuses and what gamers will receive with each edition has been disclosed.
Players who pre-order the All-Madden Edition will receive a slew of bonuses, but probably most crucially, they will gain Early Access.
More information can be found here regarding each Madden 23 Edition and the many rewards available.
Madden will be available for the following consoles:
The PlayStation 4
The PlayStation 5
The Xbox One
The Xbox Series X
PC Xbox Series X
In contrast to previous years, only the All-Madden version is capable of Dual Entitlement.
That is, if you buy the PS4 version of the game, you will not be able to upgrade to the PS5 version. Instead, you’ll have to wait till the PS5 version becomes available.
By searching on PS5TM consoles or using the EA Play app on PS4TM consoles, you can get 10 hours of free early access to selected EA releases. Simply download the Play First Trial when it becomes available and play for 10 hours.
Overall, it’s encouraging to see how much effort was put into enhancing Madden 23’s franchise mode. With some early gameplay positives and feedback from those who were able to play the test, the game appears to be a possible positive step forward for a series that has received harsh criticism in previous years. Throughout this time of year, new installments of all of the yearly sports franchises will be released. Madden NFL 23 will be one of the first games released this year, and EA Sports has been teasing new details about the football game. For some years, a franchise has been the object of several criticisms and the fundamental changes it will bring.
