Many companies claim that their products are the “greatest in the world,” but MSI’s most recent high-end gaming laptop seems to be the most potent consumer-grade Laptop. MSI GT 77 Titan is a Windows 11 laptop with a 17.30-inch display resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. A Core i9 CPU powers it. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti from Nvidia is used for the graphics. Wi-Fi 802.11 ax Bluetooth, Ethernet, 5 USB ports (3 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 (Type A)), Thunderbolt 4 (Type C), an HDMI connector, a multi-card slot, a headphone and microphone combo jack, and RJ45 (LAN) connections are all included in the connectivity choices.
A 4K display with a refresh rate of 120Hz is available on the new MSI GT 77 Titan. The new Titan gaming laptop has an RGB light bar, four memory slots, and four M.2 slots. The Laptop also has a mechanical RGB keyboard with Cherry MX Ultra-Low switches. The Titan GT 77 will give the CPU and GPU 250W of total power using the company’s OverBoost technology. The MSI GT 77 Titan, which weighs 6.82 pounds, is more than capable of replacing a desktop.
The new MSI design makes it evident that it is a gaming laptop by having an RGB light bar along the length of the back of the device and multicolored lights on the dragon emblem. The business asserts that its OverBoost technology enables the CPU and GPU to get 250W of power, which it says provides “desktop-caliber performance.”
In addition, MSI claims that you have four memory slots (up to 128GB) and four m. two slots (up to 32TB of storage) give you desktop-level upgradeability. MSI employs four fans, seven heat pipes, and six exhaust points to cool the components. The Titan will receive a redesigned mechanical keyboard with SteelSeries RGB backlighting and Cherry MX Ultra Low switches. The Titan has a biometric fingerprint reader and an IR face-recognition camera for password-free Windows Hello logins. The webcam’s image is disappointing with a meager 720p resolution, noisy static, and no privacy shutter.
The GT77 Titan is powered by Intel’s “Alder Lake” Core HX CPU, a mobile microprocessor with more cores and a more excellent power rating than Intel’s H-class laptop CPUs. The new Titan will use graphics cards up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and Intel’s 12th Gen HX mobile CPUs, up to a Core i9-12900HX.
The 16GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card in the GT77 Titan also has an exceptionally high wattage; it has the most significant overall graphics power of any laptop at 175 watts. In addition, the Titan offers four SO-DIMM slots for 128GB of DDR5 memory and four PCI Express storage devices, one of which supports PCI Express 5.0 solid-state drives.
One of Titan’s best features is the mechanical keyboard with Cherry switches. It is unique to this design and is absent from MSI’s lower-end GE76 Raider, which has a membrane keyboard. The mechanical keys provide a great tactile response and a lengthy up-and-down journey. They sound like a desktop mechanical keyboard as you type with their clicks and clacks.
The sole flaw in the keyboard layout is the two-thirds-size numeric keypad layout, which is cumbersome and the only location where dedicated Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down buttons can be found. Although the included MSI Center tool allows you to change the left-side Windows key and right-side Fn key, there is no left-side Fn key, making Windows-key shortcuts awkward. The buttonless touchpad, on the other hand, is a plush size and clicks nicely.
The Titan excels in the audio department as well. The device contains four speakers—two beneath the palm rest and two flanking the keyboard. Although the bass isn’t overpowering, the overall sound is loud and clear, comparable to a simple Bluetooth speaker, and can easily keep a table full of people entertained. You can adjust the slightly harsh treble and excessively boosted bass using the adjuster in the Nahimic software that came with the device. You experience an immersive aural bliss when DYNAUDIO, Hi-Res, and Nahimic are used together.
MSI Titan GT77 comes with Windows 11 and a 17.30-inch display resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti from Nvidia is used for the graphics. Its display does not offer touch functionality, and its refresh rate is 120Hz. It features a web camera in the middle of the top of the screen that supports IR HD type (30fps@720p). It boasts a 4K display with True color technology, which allows you to choose between settings according to your needs. With HDMI, ThunderboltTM 4, and mini-Display Port, you can also expand your field of vision across up to 4 screens.
The cooling of the GT77 Titan merits its section. With four fans and vapor-chamber heatsinks, this Laptop overcomes the difficulty of desktop-level heat in a constrained chassis. The mighty Titan Cooler Boost technology helps to maximize CPU and GPU performance efficiency so you can easily handle demanding applications or games.
In comparison to other computers, the cooling system is quite effective. Its four fans, seven pipes, and six exhaust configuration prevent the Laptop from overheating and makes it more relaxed than other gaming laptops. Only the right side of the keyboard, when used often, can reach temperatures of up to 108 degrees; otherwise, everything stays at normal levels. And unlike other laptop cooling systems, it doesn’t generate loud opening noises.
It Supports Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2 & Ethernet for its connectivity. MSI Titan GT77 has 5 USB ports, out of which there support USB 3.1 gen2(Type A) & two are Thunderbolt 4(Type C). It has a Standard HDMI Port, an SD card reader slot with Headphone & mic combo jack & an RJ45(Lan) slot in its Ports section. MSI GT77 also has A Fingerprint sensor & a web camera of 720pixels for video chat and recording videos.
The Price of the MSI GT 77 Titan is $3199 in the USA. It is powered by The 12th Generation Intel Core i9 processor to deliver maximum efficiency in gameplay, multi-task work, and productivity.
