There are many ways through which you can sign documents on iPhone. Signing documents on iPhone is the fastest and easiest way to sign documents. Out of all signing through emails is much preferable.

Signing through the iOS Mail App

If you have to sign a document that you received through email. You have to open the mail in the inbuilt app of iOS. 

Steps to sign documents in iOS Mail App:

  1. Open the mail and read it properly see the full preview of the mail. If the document is a scanned PDF image file, you might need to download it.
  2. Click on the Markup Icon on the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select a pen to do a signature on the document. It’s more like writing something on the phone.

(You can also open an additional signing tool from where you can use a pre-written signature or write one yourself to save on your iPhone)

  1. Click on done to complete the signing process.

(When you are done with the sign-in method then you have to resend the document to its sender. Signing through email is the quickest method to sign documents on iPhone.)

Sign in using Adobe Acrobat for iPhone

The free industry standard for properly viewing, printing, and commenting on PDF documents is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software. And now that it’s integrated into the Adobe Document Cloud, working across PCs and mobile devices is simpler than ever.

Adobe Acrobat has more features compared to mail and Gmail. Adobe Acrobat is mostly used for signing PDFs which are saved on your device. It is an app that you can find in the App store. Adobe Acrobat has advanced features in its premium version.

Steps to sign documents using adobe acrobat App:

  1. Open the document in Adobe Acrobat App.
  2. Click on the pencil icon at the lower right corner of your screen.
  3. Select the Draw symbol.
  4. click on create a signature.
  5. After completing your signature click on the Done button.

After clicking on the done button your signed document will save to your device.

Signing a document in Photos App

iPhone photos have a well-known editing feature. It can draw on photos and edit photos with different effects and filters. you can also sign your document inbuilt app Photos.

Steps :

  1. Open pdf/Document on photos app.
  2. Click on the edit option.
  3. Click on the pen-tip drawing.
  4. Click on the plus (+) button in the lower-right corner and select Signature.
  5. Draw your signature with your finger. Click on done when you complete your signature.
  6. You can adjust the size of your signature after completion of the process when it appears on the screen.

Sign in using Gmail App

You can sign your document in Gmail also. Although not especially Apple-like, the Gmail client for iOS is excellent. Every other Google service is integrated into the highly effective Gmail web interface. It’s the logical choice if you spend the whole day switching between Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs.

Steps to sign File in Gmail.

  1. Open the attachment file in Gmail App.
  2. On the top right corner click on the share icon.
  3. Click on the Markup option from the following options.
  4. Select the plus icon, and click on a signature from the various option given/ you can also use the draw feature to create a signature.
  5. Using the files app on your iPhone, choose Done and save the file option.

Simply attach the document to an email to send it back to the sender. It’s also important to note that this function is exclusive to iOS Gmail app. Android users must employ a different technique.

Sign documents in Notes on iPhone

Open Notes, touch the note’s document, then either add a previously stored signature or make a new one. The signature box may then be sized and placed wherever you like on the paper. Hit “Done”.

How does Markup work on an iPhone?

With Markup, you may modify pictures and images, change the font’s thickness and opacity, and even sign PDF documents. After selecting Edit, click the Markup button. To add text, shapes, and other elements, tap the Add button. Simply hit Done once, then again.

How to sign a word document on iPhone?

  1. Your email should include the document you wish to sign.
  2. Markup is available by tapping the attachment.
  3. Select Signature by tapping the Plus button in the Markup toolbar at the bottom.
  4. Use your finger to sign if this is the first time.
  5. Use your finger to sign, or choose a previously stored signature.
