I recently had an unfortunate experience with my new 65″ Samsung The Frame Pro TV. Despite being on the market for less than a year, I have encountered numerous issues with the device. The problems ranged from random and frequent CEC issues with my Google TV streamer and Samsung’s own soundbar, to the TV randomly shutting down when it shouldn’t. After a few weeks of these challenges, the $2,200 TV stopped working altogether. It would turn on for a brief five seconds before shutting down again. This was a major disappointment, particularly considering the high price point and the reputable brand.
Samsung’s customer support in France was another point of contention. It took an astonishing two weeks for them to pick up the device for repair. This left me without a TV for weeks, which was not an ideal situation.
Discovering a solution
However, in the midst of this technical crisis, I stumbled upon a surprising solution. It happened during the second leg of the UCL match between Real Madrid and Benfica. When my Frame Pro TV failed me, I quickly grabbed the XGIMI Vibe One projector from my bedroom and set it up in the living room. To my surprise, it worked perfectly as a pseudo-TV, projecting the game right onto my wall. I was able to watch Vinicius’ brilliant counterattack and 80-minute goal without any issues.

Since then, I’ve been using the $250 XGIMI Vibe One projector as my makeshift TV. Despite its relatively low price, this device offers a remarkable viewing experience. Its picture quality and sound system are comparable to those of a high-end TV, and it has proven to be a valuable asset in my home. Moreover, its portability makes it an excellent alternative to a TV, enabling me to watch my favourite shows and movies wherever I choose in my house.
Based on my experience, I would highly recommend the XGIMI Vibe One projector to anyone looking for a cost-effective, versatile, and reliable device for their home entertainment needs. It’s proof that you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on a TV to enjoy a high-quality viewing experience.
