Scheduled for September 23, 2026, this fully virtual event will spotlight emerging trends in AI, cybersecurity, and other pivotal areas impacting both K-12 and higher education. The conference is now seeking speakers who can provide fresh insights and practical guidance in these dynamic fields.
Exploring AI and Cybersecurity in Education
The Tech Tactics in Education conference aims to foster a robust dialogue on the intersection of technology and education. This year, the focus is on AI, cybersecurity, data, and educational technology. Potential speakers are encouraged to submit proposals that offer hands-on learning experiences, strategic discussions, and practical tips. The goal is to equip participants with actionable strategies and models for effective technology leadership in educational settings.
Interested individuals are invited to propose sessions that explore current and emerging technology trends. These sessions can take various forms, including panel discussions, tutorials, and expert perspectives. Emphasis will be placed on proposals that include practical exercises or insights that attendees can apply to enhance IT practices at their institutions. With educational institutions increasingly targeted by cyber threats, this track focuses on how AI can influence cybersecurity strategies. Sessions will cover best practices in data/network security, threat detection, ransomware defense, and more. The track aims to equip IT leaders with tools to protect their institutions from cyber threats and recover from potential breaches.
AI Leadership: From Strategy to Action
This track is designed for education leaders aiming to transition from AI exploration to a robust, institution-wide strategy. Presentations will cover aligning policy, pedagogy, and operations, supporting stakeholders, and implementing good governance practices. The goal is to build sustainable AI strategies that balance innovation with ethical use and long-term goals.
Types of Presentations
Speakers can choose from several presentation formats:
Panel Discussion
Panels consist of a moderator and at least two panelists discussing significant topics or challenges in the educational community. Panelists must be confirmed before submitting a proposal.
Practical Tutorial
Tutorials are hands-on workshops led by educators, involving exercises and activities tailored to participants’ technology needs.
Campus/Expert Perspective
These sessions provide first-hand experiences with technology projects or expertise on specific topics from individuals or teams.
Speaker Criteria and Benefits
The event is seeking speakers who are higher education or K-12 IT leaders, independent consultants, association or nonprofit leaders, and other experts in the field. Industry experts are welcome for non-promotional presentations only. Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevance, clarity, usefulness, and coverage of current topics.
