Join WIRED Book Club’s First Live Stream Event with Carlos Barragán

For our very WIRED Book Club’s first live stream, Kate Knibbs will be joined by author of The Yahoo Boys: Love, Deception, and the Real Lives of Nigeria’s Romance Scammers, Carlos Barragán.

Unveiling the World of Online Romance Scams

Barragán, a journalist and researcher at the New York Times, flew to Lagos to join a group of desperate young crooks. His story is a funny, sad, and infuriating read about how the internet can fuel grief.

Meet the Panel
