SpotitEarly Collaborates with HITLAB
SpotitEarly, a multi-cancer early detection startup, announced a strategic partnership with HITLAB on Thursday to facilitate the commercialization of its screening test across the U.S.
HITLAB will bolster SpotitEarly’s growth by connecting the company with investors, providing strategic advice, and arranging speaking engagements throughout the year.
According to a July 16 press release, SpotitEarly aims to launch its breast cancer breath test commercially by 2027.
SpotitEarly’s non-invasive breath test utilizes its LUCID Bio-AI Hybrid system to measure the odor signature of cancer in a person’s breath. The system combines machine learning with the scent-detection capabilities of trained dogs. Sensors capture and standardize dogs’ responses into “consistent, data-driven results,” the company explains.

Novant Health Unveils New Primary Care Model and Partners with K Health
Novant Health, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, announced an expansion of its primary care services on Wednesday. The new model offers 24-hour patient access through an integrated system.
Patients can access virtual primary care appointments via the system’s website and MyChart, marking the “first step in a broader effort to transform how and where healthcare is delivered,” according to Sanjay Gupta, executive vice president and chief transformation officer of Novant Health.
“While some patients prefer to be seen in the office, many want the convenience of virtual care without sacrificing the trusting, personal relationship with a dedicated primary care physician,” Gupta explains. “By combining our clinical expertise with advanced digital tools, we are expanding our ability to meet patients where they are and provide high-quality virtual primary care that fits into everyday life, while giving patients the opportunity to build lasting, trusting doctor-patient relationships that are purely virtual in nature.”
The health system has also partnered with AI platform K Health to integrate AI digital assistants into virtual care visits. Additionally, PatientGPT, K Health’s clinical AI tool, is now fully integrated with medical records.
GW RhythmX Launches RhythmX Pulse on Microsoft Marketplace
GW RhythmX has announced that its real-time clinical intelligence application, RhythmX Pulse, is now available on the Microsoft Marketplace.
The listing allows customers to deploy the solution on Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft platforms.
RhythmX Pulse integrates with Dragon Copilot and converts captured patient encounters into personalized recommendations for physicians. It compares the documented patient visit with all other data known about the patient, including medical history, current medications, clinical guidelines, social context, payer rules, formulary requirements, and gaps in care, the company reports.
Recommendations may include documentation improvements, care gap alerts, HCC and coding options, guideline-based treatment options, and formulary-based medication alternatives.
Organizations already using Dragon Copilot can add RhythmX Pulse through the Microsoft Marketplace without needing a separate implementation.
“Clinical AI is more than just summarizing or looking up guidelines. Now Dragon Copilot users can get the validated and hyper-personalized guidance they need to deliver breakthrough precision care in every encounter,” says Deepthi Bathina, CEO and founder of GW RhythmX. “Through Dragon Copilot, GW RhythmX compares this encounter with a patient’s complete medical history, latest guidelines, social and financial information, and payer and formulary rules, giving physicians a clear next-best action rather than just a summary or generic guidance.”
According to executives, GW RhythmX has completed over 170,000 physician-reviewed clinical validations to date. The launch marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between the companies, with planned features to expand recommendations earlier and later in the course of care.
Machinify Adds Genetic Testing Capabilities
Health intelligence company Machinify announced on Monday that it is enhancing its payment intelligence platform with genetic testing capabilities.
This expansion represents “another step” toward employing AI for sophisticated healthcare payment decisions. It’s also part of Machinify’s acquisition of InformedDNA’s genetic testing payment integrity business, according to executives.
The company’s platform uses a dedicated genetic testing knowledge base aligned with each payer’s medical policies to evaluate claims. It has identified over $70 million in savings in a Medicaid program, the company states.
“Specialties like genetic testing are more important than ever; science is evolving every day and spending has increased dramatically,” says Tom Magnotta, Machinify president of complex payment solutions. “We are actively investing in and expanding our content on the platform. Genetic testing is just one of many areas where Machinify uses solutions to solve complex challenges for our customers using an AI-first approach.”
This feature is now available to customers via the platform’s pre-payment solution or post-payment extension.
