Google Keep for Android rolls out ‘Find in note’ search

Google Keep’s Latest Android Update: Enhanced Search Features

The last significant update to Google Keep was introduced earlier this year, marking a transition from reminders to tasks. Now, Google Keep for Android has received another noteworthy update, featuring the addition of a “Find in note” search function.

Introducing the “Find in Note” Feature

Accessing the new feature is straightforward. Open any note in Google Keep, tap the three-dot overflow menu located in the bottom-right corner, and select “Find in note” from the top of the list. This feature provides a simple, yet powerful text search capability.

The word or phrase you input is highlighted in yellow throughout the note, making it easier to spot important information. For optimal viewing while navigating through search results, it is advisable to minimize the keyboard to maximize screen space. Users can conveniently toggle through results using the up and down arrows.

This update is being rolled out via a server-side update, specifically with version 5.26.331.02.90 of Google Keep for Android.

Anticipating Future Enhancements: Keep Live

Looking ahead, the next major update for Google Keep is anticipated to introduce Keep Live, a groundbreaking feature that allows users to create notes and lists using voice commands. This innovative capability was showcased at the I/O 2026 event and is expected to be available this summer.
