Tribit made the StormBox Micro available. It’s essentially a less expensive version of the famous SoundLink Micro speaker from Bose, and it offers surprisingly superb sound for its small size and low price. The StormBox Micro 2 is now available. It delivers better sound and battery life in addition to a charge-out feature that transforms the speaker into a power bank for mobile devices like phones and tablets. It has a $60 price tag, but if it’s anything like its predecessor, we can anticipate regular reductions. If you’re searching for a tiny portable wireless speaker, it’s a great bargain and simple to use, just like the original.
The pocket-sized Tribit Stormbox micro 2 speaker produces surprisingly powerful bass and full sound for a nano. It is the ideal two-in-one gadget as it conveniently serves as a portable charger. Its features include longer battery life, party & stereo modes, and simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity. Its size, weight, and handy silicone strap ensure you can take rhythms and power everywhere. It sounds best at a level of 40 percent or higher.
The Tribit StormBox Micro 2 costs $60 and is offered on Amazon and the Tribit website. One StormBox Micro 2 speaker, a user guide, and a UCB-C to UCB-C fast charging cable are all included with your order.
The Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 was introduced in April 2022 and is currently only available in black. Although it is generally charged at $60/£60, purchasing directly from Tribit makes it only $54/£54.
Price reductions and Tribit are prevalent across major online shops like Amazon – so keep your eyes peeled since this is a competent Bluetooth speaker even at the initial price.
As with any Bluetooth speaker, setup is simple. It will turn on with a pleasing confirmation tone when you momentarily press the power button. The Bluetooth pairing process includes adorable seeking and confirmation noises you press and release.
A few good usability features are there, starting with the waterproof certification. Although I wouldn’t advise placing it too close to a swimming pool’s edge, you may attach it to a bicycle’s handlebars, for instance, without being concerned about a bit of rain.
The elevated volume controls & multi-function switches also make it simple to use by touch, providing it helpful when riding a bike and if you have it fastened to anything like a backpack strap.
The favorite use feature is the included rubber band, which offers another way to fasten it to things. Unhook it, wrap it around anything you wish to connect it, and rehook it.
One last, totally unexpected feature is a built-in power bank. You may charge your iPhone using that USB-C connector as it has a two-way charging capability.
The sound quality and performance on speakers come first, then appearances. Furthermore, the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 punches much above its weight. It’s not just a lot louder than I anticipated, but the quality matches. Because of its mobility and rubber strap, this is the speaker you could see yourself connecting to your vehicles even.
Tribit StormBox Micro 2 delivers powerful audio from such a little speaker. Despite the Micro 2’s little weight, it has a speaker-like sound. It has a 10-watt output power. However, at maximum volume, it sounds considerably louder. It produces dynamic music with clean, clear trebles and powerful, deep bass lines using a specially developed 48-millimeter NdFeB driver, passive radiator integration, and XBASS technology.
The StormBox Micro 2 weighs 11.2 ounces and has dimensions of around 1.7 by 4.0 by 4.0 inches. It is available in black. Although bigger and heavier than the previous StormBox Micro, it is still relatively compact.
The speaker has curved sides and a fabric grille on the front. A single 10W speaker with a frequency response of 70Hz to 20kHz is located beneath the grille. The bottom wall also has a grill for the passive condenser. Despite supporting the SBC codec and AptX like other versions, the speaker is Bluetooth 5.3 compliant. Notably, you may wirelessly link the microphone with other StormBox Micro 2 or maintain each in mono mode.
On the front are volume controls in addition to a multifunctional button that manages to play, calls, track navigation, & voice assistants. A power button, a Bluetooth connecting button, and status LEDs that show the speaker operation & intensity level are located on the lower side panel. The USB-C charging connector on the opposite side allows you to charge additional devices while the speaker’s battery is still charging.
Every design improvement Tribit has made for the 2nd-generation Stormbox Micro is both welcome & adds value, providing indisputable evidence.
It has become larger and more rounded, serving as a helpful power bank. Tribit has added another Micro 2, which has paid off while the device is playing music.
Plus, minus and multi-function buttons have been changed to white so they can be seen better in low light. The blue Bluetooth beam on the front edge has also been made more prominent and easier to see, but the helpful 5 strong LED volume signals are still present. The great rubberized and somewhat flexible strap is still on the bottom, but the rubber feet are now significantly thicker.
And if you believed there were no mics for speakerphone responsibilities, you’d be mistaken. An inbuilt mike on the front corner, near the power button, works perfectly as long as you keep somewhat close to the speaker during conversations.
Yes In Sound Performance
Despite being much less expensive, the Tribit XBOOM sounds superior to both the JBL Flip4 & the UE Boom. Its two 12W drivers and side-facing passive bass radiators produce a rich & healthy sound.
On the Amazon website, Tribit speakers mainly received favorable reviews. Because it has just been a few days, consider this an introductory rather than a complete assessment. The speaker, a micro USB cable, an AUX cable, and the setup instructions are all included in the box.
Upgraded Tribit MaxSound + Portable Bluetooth Speaker with 24W Louder Sound, Outstanding XBass, 20H Playtime, Audiobook EQ, IPX7 Waterproof, USB-C, and TWS Pairing for Party, Travel, and Outdoor.
The Tribit StormBox Micro 2 is a compact Bluetooth speaker with solid bass and well-balanced audio. Additionally, it serves as a portable power bank with 12-hour battery life, TWS, an IP67 rating, and simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity. It has a multi-use strap that allows you to fasten it to handlebars, making it a functional, lightweight travel companion.
