Lenovo Chromebook Duet: One of the best Chromebook on the market!

If you get your hands on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet, it’s a 2-in-1 laptop with a keyboard cover and kickstand cover.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet appears to be an ordinary notebook at first sight, but when you open it up, it’s a compact laptop with a vivid 10.1-inch display.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet’s charging capability isn’t its only attractive feature; it lasts over 13 hours beating the 10-hour usual runtime for Chromebooks.

Another important selling factor of the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is its low pricing. For less than $300, you may have a lightweight laptop capable of handling all of your intense online multitasking. However, due to the Chromebook’s modest digital footprint, you may feel uneasy typing on its smaller keyboard.

However, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet has just enough “oomph” to make our lists of the best Chromebooks and best laptops for around $300.

Design of Lenovo Chromebook Duet

Let us begin with the tablet. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet is an ordinary tablet with large, old borders without a kickstand screen and removable keyboard.

The tablet’s back has a two-tone color combination of iron-grey and pale blue. There’s also an understated black Chrome logo. A large 8-megapixel back camera may be seen in the upper-right corner. The words “Lenovo” are written in black on a tiny, rectangular silver plate in the top-left corner.

The tablet’s top has twin speakers and microphones, while the bottom has USB pins for keyboard connection. The tablet is a fingerprint magnet, so keep the magnetic kickstand cover clamped on to prevent smudges. The kickstand cover features the appearance and feel of a twill business suit, lending the Duet a professional appearance.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet is a light computer that fits well in the little compartment of my travel bag. The entire set, including the stand cover and keyboard, weighs only 2 pounds. The Duet is lighter than its rivals, the Samsung Chromebook 3 (2.5 pounds) and the HP Chromebook x360 12b (3 pounds).

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet with keyboard and kickstand cover is 9.6 x 6.7 x 0.7 inches, while the tablet just measures 9.4 x 6.3 x 0.3 inches. The little Chrome OS notebook is smaller than its competitors: the Samsung Chromebook 3 is 11 x 8 x 0.7 inches, whereas the HP Chromebook x360 12b measures 11 x 9 x 0.7 inches.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet ports

So, you want to know about the ports on the Duet?  This Chromebook just has one USB Type-C connector for power charging, data transmission, DisplayPort, and USB on the go.

The Duet lacks a headphone connector, but Lenovo was thoughtful enough to offer a USB Type-C-to-3.5 mm headphone jack converter. The Duet only has one USB-C port, which is always occupied when the device is charging. Although Lenovo includes a headphone dongle, it would be wonderful to have at least one headphone jack.

The audio on the Duet is simply what that is anticipated from a low-cost Chromebook: it’s just adequate. The two speakers, which are located on the tablet’s top, produced well-balanced music with good audio quality.

After listening to Sam Fischer’s “This City” on Spotify, the romantic song sounded smooth and heavenly as Fischer crooned his heart out. When the users listened to songs with big bass drops, though, it sounded a little distorted, but it didn’t ruin the listening experience.

The Duet’s two speakers were perfect for filling a medium-sized, social-distancing jail cell — sorry, room. However, in a larger environment, the speakers will most certainly struggle to dominate.

When loaded up 24 Google Chrome tabs on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet, which has a MediaTek Helio P60T CPU and 4GB of RAM. Then built a tab that launched Google Docs and played a 1080p YouTube movie. There was a few seconds of lag while the Duet loaded the new Chrome tab, but when got into the swing of working on Google Docs, It was surprising to find no system delay – Simply typed paragraph after paragraph without noticing any lag.

The HP Chromebook x360 12b (3,400), is powered by an Intel Celeron N400 and 4GB of RAM, and the HP Chromebook 14 (2,733), is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 CPU and 4GB of RAM. The Duet also outperformed the typical Chromebook, with an overall performance score of 5,293.

Battery life of Lenovo Chromebook Duet

Battery life

Lenovo claimed that the Chromebook Duet’s battery life is 10 hours, which is excess. However, Lenovo actually undersold the Duet’s battery lifetime.

Battery life test on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet, which includes continuous Web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness, users got 12 hours and 46 minutes of life. The Samsung Chromebook 3 and the HP Chromebook x360 12b, which had battery runtimes of 9 hours and 44 minutes and 8 hours and 6 minutes, however, couldn’t compete with the Duet. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet also outperformed the average battery life of Chromebooks, which is 10 hours and 19 minutes.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet webcams

The webcam on the Lenovo Chromebook Duet includes two cameras: a 2MP front camera and an 8MP back camera.

Despite the Duet’s low price, the cameras were not as bad as you had expected. The cameras captured the face flaws, such as pores and dark circles, in stunning detail. The cameras also captured skin nicely and reflected the bright-pink tone of the bathrobe back.

You can download all of your favorite apps, like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, from the Google Play Store. You may even participate in some light gaming with apps like Asphalt 9.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet has a one-year warranty.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet offers excellent value for money and is great as a primary productivity and entertainment device. It is also an excellent gadget for a kid in elementary school to college.
The Duet is one of the greatest 2-in-1 laptops ever seen for its price, taking the usefulness of Google’s Chrome OS and packing it into a 10-inch user tablet. It’s even possible to argue that it’s one of the greatest Chromebooks of the year. Moreover, despite the keyboard and touchpad’s cost-cutting, no aspect of the Duet seems or feels cheap. The tablet is made of an aluminum alloy that is both durable and comfortable to hold.
