Apple Preparing New ‘Gen AI’ Website Ahead of WWDC

Apple Prepares to Unveil Generative AI Innovations at WWDC 2026

Apple is reportedly in the process of preparing the subdomain genai.apple.com, as noted by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris. Although this subdomain doesn’t currently lead to an active webpage, its addition to Apple’s domain name servers comes just weeks before the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). At this event, Apple is expected to reveal significant “AI advancements” across its software platforms.

Apple’s website already features an Apple Intelligence page, leaving the tech community curious about the specific purpose of the new genai.apple.com subdomain. It likely pertains to “generative AI,” a field that has gained substantial attention with tools like ChatGPT and Claude.

Anticipated Features in Upcoming Software Releases

As Apple gears up for the release of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, these platforms are expected to integrate numerous Apple Intelligence enhancements. Users can look forward to a more tailored version of Siri, featuring on-screen awareness. In a move reminiscent of chatbots like ChatGPT, a dedicated Siri app will purportedly enable users to engage in dynamic conversations.

These advancements are poised to enhance accessibility significantly. For instance, automatic captions for videos recorded with an iPhone will become available, making content more accessible to the hearing impaired. Moreover, Voice Control will evolve to support natural language, allowing users to issue intuitive commands like “tap the guide about best restaurants” in Apple Maps or “tap the purple folder” in the Files app.

Enhancements Across Apple’s Ecosystem

Apple Intelligence is set to streamline user experiences across its ecosystem. The Shortcuts app will benefit from easier shortcut creation, while the Wallet app will introduce a “Create a Pass” feature. Safari will autonomously name tab groups, enhancing organization, and Visual Intelligence will gain the ability to scan food nutrition labels and transfer contact information from business cards or documents directly into the Contacts app.

The unveiling of these innovations is scheduled to take place during Apple’s WWDC 2026 keynote, commencing on Monday, June 8, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
