Google Pixel 7 vs Google Pixel 6- Battery Life
Google Pixel 7
The 4355mAh battery of the Google Pixel 7 supports 30W fast charging. The Pixel 7’s battery has a smaller capacity than the Pixel 6’s, coming in at 4,355mAh instead of 4614mAh. The Google Pixel 7 is smaller in every other way except for the battery, which takes up most of the volume. Although the Tensor G2 has higher power efficiency, the Pixel 7 still has issues. Google states that the Pixel 7 can receive a half charge in 30 minutes and power at a 30W pace.
Google Pixel 6
The Pixel 6’s 4614mAh battery is more than enough for the display and CPU. However, it is much less than the Pro’s 5,003mAh battery. The Pixel 6 can playback videos at 60Hz, for more than 20 hours. However, it lasts twelve and a half hours of 90Hz-locked Wi-Fi web browsing. If you want the Pixel 6 to use less power, you can use it at 60Hz. Google claims their 30-watt adaptor can charge the phone 50% in under 30 minutes. It is compatible with PPS USB Power Delivery 3.0. The Pixel 6 can also enable wireless charging.
Google Pixel 7 vs Google Pixel 6- Camera
Google Pixel 7
The camera hardware is mostly the same between the Pixel 7 and 6, but there are some noticeable improvements.
The Pixel 7’s 10.8MP camera had an f/2.2 gap. The Tensor G2 chip is updated in the Pixel 7 and will ultimately make the most difference in camera quality. The Tensor G2 chip allows the Pixel 7 camera to take less blurry photos by combining shots from the primary and ultrawide cameras.
You should be able to snap better low-light images faster with the Pixel 7.
The Pixel 7 is an upgraded model, though. It displays a little timer in the bottom right corner of the viewfinder when it detects darkness, showing how long it will take to shoot a picture that will provide a clear image.
Google Pixel 6
The Pixel 6’s 8MP camera had an f/2.0 aperture. You can capture fantastic daytime pictures with the Pixel 6. Although there is a lot of contrast in the images, there is also a lot of dynamic range and well-defined tonal extremes.
The images have vivid colours, astounding sharpness, and precise detail rendered in pixels. Additionally, it does so with a great deal more grace in scenes with more excellent contrast. The Pixel 6 has a 2x zoom option in the viewfinder despite not having a telephoto camera. There are certain drawbacks, such as the ultrawide camera’s relatively narrow field of view compared to competitors. With the Pixel 6, you can take fantastic wide-angle without autofocus.
Google Pixel 7 vs Google Pixel 6- Display
Google Pixel 7
The Pixel 7 offers almost the same display experienced in the pixel 6. It is slightly smaller at 6.3 inches diagonally. You might not notice the difference unless you hold the two phones side by side. A notable change is that while the bezels on the sides and top have shrunk, the bottom bezels have remained unchanged, making the phone appear even larger.
The Pixel 7 screen has a refresh rate of around 90Hz and the exact 1080×2400 FHD+ resolution as its predecessor. That’s true; Google still reserves 120Hz for its Pro model and does not offer it in its mid-range offering. Unfortunately, several manufacturers, including Samsung for the Galaxy S22, are pushing to provide 120Hz across their top ranges (as early as the S20 series, actually). Many global companies even include the technology in their best-value, low-cost phones.
Google Pixel 6
The 6.4-inch Pixel 6 display has a 2400 x 1080p resolution and narrow bezels for additional screen real estate. Besides this, the refresh rate of 90Hz can be adjusted. When smoother navigation and games are required for your on-screen activity, this ramps up and returns to 60Hz to conserve power.
In Developer settings, you now have a new checkbox that lets you always force the maximum refresh rate. The colours on the AMOLED display are somewhat consistent. The screen’s brightness was measured at 843 nits when the Adaptive Display feature was enabled. The Pixel 6 only has a three-position selection for colour reproduction and no other settings. The Pixel 6’s display is HDR10+ compatible.
Both devices have nearly identical displays, with the Pixel 7 having a slightly smaller screen, 25% higher screen brightness, and looking more modern due to the smaller chin. Aside from that, it’s the same display as before, which is a little disappointing given that we were expecting a 120Hz refresh rate by 2022 standards.
Google Pixel 7 vs Google Pixel 6- Design
Google Pixel 7
Pixel 7 repeats the design of the Pixel 6. Both are the invention of Google. Similarities are visible when comparing both phones’ looks, but the Pixel 7 is an updated and polished model oF the Google series. The visor-style camera array with its bar across the back is parallel in both phones, but this time in metal to glass. The edge of the visors is neatly curved into the edges.
With its new 6.3-inch screen, Google made the Pixel 7 slightly smaller than its predecessor, shaving off a few millimeters in every dimension. That makes the Pixel 7 a little easier to use. It fits better in one hand and is more comfortable to hold, all while preserving screen size. Google has decided to stick with rounded edges on the Pixel 7.
Google Pixel 6
Google’s phone designs have undergone a dramatic transformation with the Pixel 6 model. A horizontal camera strip spans the back of the phone in the new design. The camera systems are restricted to the device’s upper left corner in other mobile phones. Two cameras, an LED flash, a laser AF emitter/receiver, a spectrum and flicker sensor, a microphone, and other components can all fit on the strip. A fingerprint sensor is underneath the bottom glass panel, while an 8MP selfie camera is in the center of the 6.4-inch display on the front. It would be best to press your finger firmly against the sensor to function.
The SIM card slot is on the other side and can accommodate either a nano-SIM or an eSIM if you choose to use two. MicroSD cards are not supported either. The USB-C port inside has a plastic lining and is located on the bottom. In the frame, two identical-looking cutouts serve as the main speaker and microphone. A flat AMOLED screen with a bezel around it serves as the display. A quarter of the way up the center axis of the screen, underneath the display, is where the fingerprint scanner is located.

Face unlock and Fingerprint.
Unfortunately, the Pixel 7 has a finger magnet on its back for glossy glass (or what Apple does with recent iPhone Pro models). At the same time, this has been a minor issue with the review unit. The Pixel 7 comes with an oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating out of the box. Google Pixel will wear down over time, which is when a matte finish will win. All the phones Google offered in the hands-on area were highly smeared and unattractive to look at after a few minutes.
Pixel 7 has a face unlock facility. It’s also worth noting that the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro can use facial recognization to unlock the screen. Everything else, including payments and secure logins, will require the use of a fingerprint scanner or a PIN or passcode.

Google Pixel 6
One bottom-firing speaker and one front-firing speaker are included in the stereo speaker setup of the Pixel 6 above the display. It also functions as an earphone.
